VEULAP contain olopatadine which belongs to a group of medicine called antihistamines. It is used to manage signs and symptoms of seasonal allergic conjunctivitis. Seasonal allergic conjunctivitis is one of the most common eye problems, affecting about one fifth of adults.
It is caused due to an airborne substance called allergen that reaches the surface of the eye and sets off an allergic reaction. VEULAP works by blocking the action of a chemical messenger (histamine) which is responsible for itching, redness as well as swelling of the surface of your eye. The common side effects are eye pain, eye irritation, dry eye, abnormal eye sensation, eye discomfort, headache, fatigue, dry nose, bad taste.
This medicine is only for ophthalmic use. Always use VEULAP exactly as your doctor has told you. Check the label for directions before use.
It is strictly not recommended for use in children under the age of 3 years. Before using this medicine tell your doctor if you have ever had kidney disease, heart disease, liver problems. Pregnant and breastfeeding women should consult their doctor before using this medicine.
